OWI-432 WIVIS - Small Weather Stations
OSI now provides automated weather stations (AWS) built around the OWI-431 DSP WIVIS , OWI-651 Low Power WIVIS. and the APG-814-DS (All Precipitation Gauge.)
In either case, you get an advanced Weather Identifier and Visibility Sensor (WIVIS) All Precipitation Gauge (APG) with other sensors of your choice. These optional sensors can include wind speed/wind direction, temperature/humidity, road surface conditions, barometric pressure, level, Hail and any other sensors with a 4-20 mA output. For solar applications both the APG-815-DS and OWI-651 can be utilized.
Utilized one of our OWI/APG Optical Precipitation based weather sensors to build a small weather station to better track a storm.
Wind Turbine farms can better understand weather conditions and the effects on turbine blades with real time measurements. with am APG/WI based weather station
Understand the conditions associated with icy roads
Tie a level sensor or organics probe into the system to better understand the effects storm water run-off
OSI can provide software or simple sends a signal of data to another program to evaluate the data. Do you have an application where understanding precipitation and weather are important?
OSI sensors are more sensitive that traditional mechanical rain gauges therefore we will be more sensitive in both high and low rain conditions. Now with the ability to include other sensors OSI can provide a very accurate automated weather station at an affordable price.
